Destructive and Invasive Species
The World Conservation Union (I U C N) has released a list of the
world's top 100 most destructive invasive species. The list includes plants,
micro-organisms, insects, mammals, birds etc. I have included species
relevant to us in the list below, and where they appear in the ranking.
Remember this is a global ranking, and yet these species still rate in
the
top 100 of thousands.
In Australian terms these species would rank very high, possibly all within the top twenty.
