S.S.A.A. Historical Arms Collectors Branch Inc.

The H.A.C. is a Branch (Q60) of
S.S.A.A. (QLD) Inc. that was formed in 2000 to cater for
collectors within the S.S.A.A. It has grown from a small number of collectors to
a present
Membership of over 400 across Queensland and Interstate.
The H.A.C. provides the
collectors with a body that caters for their collecting interests. It was
the first organisation to be accredited as an Approved Historical Society under
the Queensland
Weapons Act. Membership allows members to obtain a Collectors Licence and the
benefits that
it brings. A regular Newsletter provides interesting articles, a wanted and for
sale section and
advice on legislative developments that affect collectors.

Meetings
The H.A.C. meets monthly in Brisbane. We also have meetings in country
areas.
H.A.C. Members at S.S.A.A. (QLD) Inc. Complex at Captains
Mountain, Millmerran
Activities
Two weekend shoots are held during April and August at S.S.A.A. (QLD)
Inc. Complex at Millmerran.
Emphasis is placed on having a fun safe time using vintage firearms in friendly
competition. Many
competitors choose to wear historical clothing, though this is not essential.
S.S.A.A. Historical Arms Collectors Branch Inc. members who
are interested in re-enacting are
also part of the "History Alive" at Fort Lytton in June.
Membership
S.S.A.A. Historical Arms Collectors Branch Inc. affiliation costs $25 in
addition to the S.S.A.A.
membership fee of $73. Collectors who belong to other S.S.A.A. Branches may
affiliate with us
for $25 on presentation of a photocopy of their S.S.A.A. Membership Card.
