S.S.A.A. Inglewood Branch Inc.
Q49

Friendly faces and a wide range of disciplines will greet you at S.S.A.A. Inglewood Branch Inc.
This Queensland shooting Branch was formed in 2001 and the range was officially opened in 2004
after the ranged received final approval. It began with 12 members and was started by Tom Donald,
Bill Wilson, Leone and Ray Dudgeon and Barry Stanbury. Leone Dudgeon was the Branch's first
President and today, Tom Donald holds this position.

Now with about 75 members, including 6 juniors and 5 women, the Branch members enjoy shooting
on the complex's five ranges. They can take part in shotgun, pistol, rifle and muzzleloading shoots
on a regular basis. Weekly results are published in local newspapers and in a Branch Newsletter.
The Branch conducts a firearm-handling course with the local High School for students studying
farm management and hosts conservation courses. Tom Donald said a recent course had 26
members attend and it was a great way to encourage new members.

Currently, the Branch is working to create a covered Benchrest shooting bay with the assistance
of a grant from S.S.A.A. (QLD) Inc.; a Skeet and 5-stand layout on the Shotgun range; and there
are plans for an Action Pistol and Metallic Silhouette range. Tom said the committee was working to
continually develop the range to meet the wishes of members. He said the friendly, relaxed country
Branch had a good range of facilities, including toilets, showers and two clubhouses, making for
a comfortable experience. Tom said a real positive of the Inglewood Branch was that members
were able to shoot many disciplines at one complex and enjoy the friendly atmosphere.

   The Branch is preparing to host the 2011 Zone 2 State Muzzleloading Championships in October;
in 2008, it hosted the Queensland State Muaaleloading Championships.

S.S.A.A. Inglewood Branch Inc. is situated at 749 Bosnjaks Road, Inglewood, just off the
Cunningham Highway between Inglewood and Goondiwindi.
