Rifle Metallic Silhouette is a discipline in which rifles are used to knock down metal targets in the shape of chickens,
pigs, turkeys and rams at a variety of ranges using a variety of rifles. All rifle metallic silhouette shooting is done
offhand, which means no support.

There are a number of different classes of rifles allowed and the target size is scaled to correspond with the ranges
over which the shooting is done and the types of rifles used.

Metallic silhouette matches consist of 40 shots, ten at each of the four types of targets.

Most shooters start out shooting metallic rifle silhouette with their hunting rifles and if they get hooked, as many do,
they upgrade as their fortunes allow.
